Creative designer tips
Designer Louise Brooks recently shared with Traditional Home magazine a few designer tips that I think are worth a post. She makes you think "duh...why didn't I think of that", with these simple but brilliant ideas.
A coir mat inset into the stone floor so you don't trip and it is easy to lift and shake out.
Get your ugly paper towel roll off the counter and right where you need it most.
Create a special built-in doggy area with baby gates.
A built-in ironing board is always a great space saver.
A shallow plate display is pretty and practical.
Cover those unsightly cords with shallow cabinet doors.
